Solar Landscape Subscriber Luis Acosta Joins Congressman Frank Pallone at State of the Union
WASHINGTON — March 8, 2024 — Congressman Frank Pallone (D, NJ) invited Luis Acosta, a Perth Amboy resident and Solar Landscape community solar subscriber, to attend the March 2024 State of the Union Address.
Thanks to community solar from Solar Landscape, Luis’ home uses solar energy generated on a warehouse rooftop nearby, saving on his monthly energy bills and fighting climate change. He saves about $200 a year.
“I’m proud to have Luis Acosta join me for President Biden’s State of the Union Address this year,” said Congressman Pallone. “His experience is a great example of the progress we’ve made to both combat the climate crisis and lower costs for American families.”
For Luis, a teacher at Edward J. Patton Elementary School, reducing carbon emissions is a part of daily life, both at home and work.
“I often incorporate lessons about the climate crisis and the importance of taking steps to lower our carbon footprint as part of a healthy future when I teach,” he said. “Thanks to Congressman Pallone’s leadership and the Biden Administration’s investments in renewable energy projects, my family is able to save money each month and know we’re doing our part to help reduce carbon emissions.”
In November, Pallone energized a new community solar project with local elected officials in Woodbridge and Solar Landscape that will provide eligible households in New Jersey with affordable, clean energy.
