OVERVIEW
Public Storage is the largest owner and operator of self-storage facilities in the world. As a REIT, it has interests in 2,877 locations across 40 U.S. states, totaling approximately 205 million net rentable sqft.
CHALLENGE
Public Storage committed to installing onsite solar at 1,300 properties by the end of 2025, an initiative that will provide affordable renewable energy to low-and moderate-income households in their local communities.
SOLUTION
Solar Landscape advised Public Storage on solar system design, financing options, and state program applications to maximize the effectiveness of the company's rooftops.
RESULT
Solar Landscape will complete 165+ community solar installations across MD, NJ, and IL, forming one of the nation's largest clean energy portfolios at over 105 MW. This represents 13% of Public Storage's commitment to install solar at 1,300 properties by 2025.
